Abstract

566,501. Pneumatic tyres. WALLER, H. J., and HAYES, L. S. FFITCH-. March 5, 1943, No. 3611. [Class 144 (ii)] One edge 4 of a pneumatic tyre extends radially inwardly beyond the other, and is clamped between a shoulder 2 formed on the rim and a disc 5 held by a nut 6. The disc 5 may be replaced in larger diameter wheels by a ring bolted to the wheel. The rim may be formed with a conical portion 7 up which the other edge of the tyre is fixed on inflation.
