[Class 34 (i)] [Also in Group XI] A unit structure comprising an electric water heater and an airing cupboard consists of a casing 1 with an electrically heated tank 2 in the base, a cold water supply tank 3 at the top, and an airing cupboard 4 between. The latter may be heated by the tank 2 or by a coil fed from it, or by an independent automatically controlled electric heater. An electric heater 7 may heat only the upper portion of the water, or if a larger quantity of water is required, a second heater 9 at the bottom provided with a pilot lamp may be used. Both may be thermostatically controlled. Heat insulation may be provided around the tank 2 and space 4, part of the insulation above the tank 2 being omitted to provide heat for the space 4. Towel rails, heated by the tank 2 or independently, may be provided on either side of the unit. Specification 435,120 is referred to.
