Abstract

564,335. Tumbler switches. ARROW ELECTRIC SWITCHES, Ltd. June 28, 1943, No. 10413. Convention date, July 23, 1942. [Class 38 (v)] Cavities separated by longitudinal partitions, in the base of a switch, each house co-operating fixed and moving contacts 40. The latter are pressed up to the former by springs 44 and bear on their upper surface rectangular plungers 56, 58 sliding in recesses in the partitions. Simultaneous operation of all is effected by movement of a yoke member 60 pivoted in grooves 64 at one end, the outer plungers 56 being operated by arms 61 while the centre plunger 58 is depressed by a bifurcated arm 62 being an antifriction roller 30 for engagement by an operating cam surface 16c on handle 16. A humped spring 27 bearing on rollers 28 ensures complete operation on or off.
