566,217. Tumbler switches ; switch contacts. ARROW ELECTRIC SWITCHES, Ltd. June 28, 1943, No. 10414. Convention date, July 25, 1942. [Class 38 (v)] The terminal strips leading into a recessed insulated switch base &c. traverse the top of an intermediate insulating cover-plate and are secured by means, e.g. a screw or rivet, extending through the plate, the other end of the rivet. &c. forming a fixed contact for coacting with movable contacts in the recesses. In the example, terminal strips, either extending straight outwardly as 32, or depending through an aperture-into a recess 35 in the base, as 33, are held on a plate 30 by rivets 34, the heads of which form contacts bridged by U-shaped contacts 20 moved against the pressure of springs 24 by a bar 26, upon which bears, centrally, a plunger 16 with cam surface 52 operated on by the rounded end 50 of an operating lever 44, which may have a bias spring 58.
