Abstract
564,264. Batteries. ALPHA ACCESSORIES, Ltd., and WARDLE, P. G. Dec. 15, 1942, No. 17830. [Class 53] In a primary battery of the layer type, each negative electrode is formed as a flat - bottomed pan a containing the depolarizing mixture c and electrolyte d of one cell, the battery being built up of a number of such pans nested one within another. The cells are separated from each other by rings of insulating material around the open end of each pan, and the positive electrodes are formed as coatings of carbon b on the bottom of the zinc pans.
