Abstract

<PICT:0563634/IV/1> A tank or vat for treating hanks of yarn, hosiery or fabrics in continuous lengths with dyeing and other liquids has a bottom of uniformly rounded form and a tube or tunnel 5 in the rounded formation which provides for circulation of the liquid and accommodates a propeller 6 for this purpose. The sides of the tank are flared at 1b and, above the flare, vertical. They are formed with flanges for suspension from supporting members 3. The tube 5 is perforated, and the propeller may be driven in either direction. A partition provides a channel for the vertical flow of the liquid.
