[Class 15 (i)] Air is entrained by a jet of steam as it is injected actually into the liquor in a dye or other liquid treatment bath or in a chamber from which the jet or each jet of mixture of steam and air is discharged into the liquor in which yarns or other loose textile materials, piece goods or leather is being treated, to cause circulation of the liquor throughout the bath. As shown, applied to a vat 1 wherein hanks of yarn or other material are suspended from poles 16 carried by fianges 15<1> on a false lid 15 attached to a lid 14 into a dye liquor, steam from either of two nozzles 10, 11 projecting into opposite ends of a member 7 with flared ends may draw in air through openings-12, 13 respectively as the steam is injected into the liquor to setup circulation in either' of two. directions as desired.- In a modification, the member 7 may be arranged horizontally and projecting on opposite sides of a vertical partition wall extending upwards' from 'the bottom of the vat near one end. In a further construction, steam, may be passed through perforations in a steam pipe extending along the base of the vat to entrain air from an outer perforated concentric pipe and inject the air and steam into the liquor. Additional steam heating pipes may be provided if desired, and the injector pipes may be arranged in zigzag formation.
