Abstract

<PICT:0610486/IV (c)/1> A machine for treating textile materials with dyes and other liquids is provided with a detachable box-like container having provision at opposite sides for supporting a series of hank poles, and being open at the bottom and at one end and so constructed as to be suspended in the tank or vat with its opposite sides and closed end projecting well down into the liquor. The container is provided with a perforated or reticulated false top through which the circulating liquor is introduced. The hank poles may be held at each end in channels as described in Specification 610,417. In the Figure, the container C is provided with opposite closed sides 3 and a closed end 4, and the hank poles P are held below the perforated false top 16 in side channels 20. In use, the container is lowered into the dye vat and the liquor is circulated by withdrawing it from the open bottom 1 of the container C and propelling it into the space S above the perforated false top 16. Rectangular openings 17 provide an overflow into the vat from the space S.
