Abstract

<PICT:0478164/IV/1> Loose articles, such as hat bodies, are subjected to liquid treatment, such as dyeing, in a perforated drum 2 into which the articles are placed and which is rotated partially immersed in a dye bath container 1, the top of the drum being unenclosed, and the dye liquor in its circulation by a pump &c. 4 being discharged on to the upper part of the drum. The discharge 5 of the circulatory means for the bath discharges on to one side of the drum which is rotated in the direction of the arrow, and baffles 6, 7 cause the bath to enter the drum to move the articles continuously therein.
