Abstract

A jig-dyeing machine comprises a vat having a recessed base, a pair of batching rollers and one or more guide rollers, at least one of which is positioned within the recess, both the guide roller(s) and the batching rollers being contained <PICT:0836251/IV(c)/1> within the vat. The vat may be provided with heating means and may be insulated. Preferably the guide roller(s) and/or the batching rollers are removable. As shown, vat 1 has a recess 2 and may have a removable lid 7. Batching rollers 3, 31 may be driven by hand or motor and textile material 9 to be dyed may pass beneath guide roller 5 positioned in recess 2, and between guide rollers 4, 41. The level of dye liquor is indicated by the broken horizontal line. Electrical heating elements 6 may be provided on the sides of recess 2 and around the periphery of the vat.
