Abstract
562,453. Stereograms. KODAK, Ltd. March 17, 1943, No. 4367. Convention date, Feb. 2, 1942. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii)] A parallax stereogram 31 is combined, for direct viewing from a particular distance, with a transparent sheet 30 having plane refracting surfaces 32 of such width and inclination that each eye sees the appropriate picture sections only, and by light passing through all the surfaces 32 ; the sheet 30 may form a support for the image layer 31 or may be separate therefrom and may support a sensitized surface for use in a camera producing such stereograms by means of two lenses. Mathematical conditions are deduced in the Specification whereby rays 16, 18 from a left-eye picture section 33 are refracted by a surface 21 to the left eye 11 by rays 13, 12, and rays 17, 19 therefrom are refracted by a surface 23 to the left eye by rays 12, 14. The stereogram may be viewed as a transparency or with a white backing.
