Abstract

559,777. Pneumatic conveyers. AMERICAN CYANAMID CO. May 20, 1942, No. 6880. Convention date, June 17, 1941. [Class 78 (i)] A suction head or nozzle for a pneumatic conduit has blow holes 19 round the head rim 17 through which air &c. is forced, down a side tube 18, to disintegrate conglomerates of the powdered material to be conveyed. The conveying air is supplied down an annulus between the inner tube 12 and an outer tube 13, and by impact with the material lying between the spokes of a penetrating grill 16 swirls same up and along the tube 12. Bolts 14 and lugs 15 maintain the tubes 12 and 13 apart.
