701,876. Pneumatic conveyers ; screw conveyers. PONNDORF, W. Feb. 22, 1952 [Feb. 23, 1951], No. 4687/52. Class 78 (1) In an apparatus for the conveyance of moist material or slurry through a pipe by means of a worm 3 in which also the material is divided into plugs 12 and propelled by pressure air or gas injected uniformly about the periphery of the pipe through an annular nozzle 9, the nozzle is provided with a tongue 19, Fig. 2, which prevents the entry of material into it and directs the air &c. substantially in the direction of conveyance. The rear of the worm is provided with .a conical reinforcement 41 which may be hollow. A closure slide 8 is provided.
