Abstract

555,745. Supporting electric cables. VICKERSARMSTRONGS, Ltd., and RICE, J. R. April 8, 1942, No. 4617. [Class 36] In an electric wiring system, the conductors are bunched into sections each enclosed as a unit in a sleeve 12 by which the bunch is secured to a support. In positions exposed to oil, dirt, moisture &c. the sleeves may be continuous throughout the length of bunch. The sleeves may be carried by brackets or be secured by pins 13 with spring clips 14, as described in Specification 507,249, [Group XXV], and pins of different lengths may be used for bunches of varying thickness or to secure bunches by.one pin. The sleeves and pins may be made of plastic material such as polyvinyl chloride. The conductors may be retained in correct order by chain-lacing or by a pocketed fabric strip 19 and their identity may be marked upon the sheath, as at 18 near the terminal plugs 17. Specification 2649/12, [Class 36], is referred to.
