Abstract

555,228. Electric conductors. LEMON, C. G., and TENAPLAS, Ltd. March 17, 1942, No. 3539. [Class 36] Parallel conductors 3 enclosed in extruded plastic insulation have a web 2 perforated by two or more rows of staggered perforations la, 1 b which may also receive the securing means. Any suitable flexible plastic may be used, preferably polythene or polyvinyl chloride. More than two conductors may be used and the size of the perforations may be varied to adjust the impedance of the cable, the cross-section of the web remaining substantially constant throughout the web length. The Provisional Specification states also that the perforations may form one row only and may be oblong, square, or oval or take the form of identifying letters or numerals.
