555,654. Furnace linings. BIRMINGHAM ELECTRIC FURNACES, Ltd., and ROBIETTE, A. G. E. April 18, 1942, No. 5170. [Class 51 (ii)] Heat treatment furnaces for gas carburizing processes &c. have the treatment chamber heated by radiant tubes and its inner surface formed of carbon. The chamber may be constructed of carbon bricks or blocks, or of refractory brickwork lined or coated with graphite; it may also be a monolithic structure produced by ramming carbon paste in situ and baking.
