1283622 Refractory bricks for coke ovens BERGWERKSVERBAND GmbH 8 Sept 1970 [21 April 1970] 42945/70 Heading F4B The heating flues and coking chamber walls of a coke oven are made of brickwork having at 1200‹ C. a heat conductivity of 2À0-6À0 k. cal./ metre/hr./‹C. and preferably 3À0-4À5 k. cal./ metre/hr./‹C. These bricks may comprise magnesite or 20-45% SiC, the balance being SiO 2 plus trace oxides. The latter may also include 23-57% Al 2 O 3 and the wall thickness is 40-80 mm., preferably 50-65 mm.
