[Class 37] The rotors 5 of a variable condenser specially for ultra-short waves are mounted on an insulating covering 7 of the shaft, which may be itself of reduced diameter at these points, and may have the coverings formed or wound thereon and afterwards ground to size. Gear for rotating the shaft may operate on normal diameter parts 4. Separate connections to each rotor may be provided by springs 10 bearing on discs 9 of good conducting metal.
