Abstract
575,533. Condensers. INGERSOLL, Ltd., NUTTER, R. T., and LORD, F. R. March 22, 1944, No. 5376. [Class 37] A trimmer condenser has stator vanes 17, 18, 19 maintained in correct space relationship by lugs 33, 34, 35, one or more of which form part of each stator vane. Lugs 33, 34 are bent back so as to contact, and be secured to the corresponding lug &c. of the next vane by soldering. The lowermost rotatable vane 16 moves in contact with an insulated base 22 of smaller surface dimensions. Rotating vanes 13, 14, 15 may fit and be secured in slots or grooves on shaft 20. The stator vanes are carried on spindle 29 by means of U-slotted tongues 23, 24, 25 and soldered thereto. In a modification, the uppermost stator vane is provided with a lug which is bent down to contact with, and be soldered to, flat steps formed on the lower vanes.
