[Class 109] [Also in Group XXII] An eye or loop in a wire rope or cable is held closed by a sleeve c through which the adjacent end and section of the rope forming the eye are passed and wherein they are consolidated by a rotary swaging operation. A pair of spaced sleeves c may be used or the sleeve may have two bores therein so that the end and section are spaced apart within the sleeve.
