Abstract

1,213,918. Friction clutches. FITCHEL & SACHS A.G. 10 Jan., 1969 [26 Jan., 1968], No. 1523/69. Heading F2C. In a diaphragm-spring clutch, the spring 5 is engaged between a pair of split fulcrum rings 4 which have their free ends 8 received in bores 10 in the clutch cover 1 and in bores 9 in distance pins 2 carrying the rings, to reduce fulcrum wear. As shown the bores are axial and pass through the pin head 3, but they may be formed transverse to the pin shank. The rings may be circular or elliptical and are formed of steel wire.
