Abstract
553,786. Adjusting wireless apparatus. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and ROSE, W. R. April 25, 1941, No. 5342. [Class 37] In a push button tuning mechanism an operating slide 1 is moved to the right against the action of a return spring 5 causing a slot 32 to move a pin 15 until it rests on the shallow slotted part 31. Movement of pin 15 rotates a spindle 11 on which is fixed a lever 12 carrying a pin 13 which engages and moves a setting slide 7 against the action of return spring 9. Slots 20 on slide 7 engage pins 18 to turn the condenser shafts 19 of (only one shown) to the adjusted positions where they are retained by the engagement of locking pieces 21 with spring controlled locking arms 22 positioned by pins 27 on slide 1 engaging slots in levers 26. Setting slide 7 is common to a set of push-buttons, but each button has an operating slide 1 and locking levers. The slides 1 may be operated in the manner described in Specification 553,787, [Group XXXVIII].
