Abstract

552,958. Racket presses. DUSSEK, L. A., and GRAY & SONS, Ltd., H. J. Dec. 11, 1941, No. 15969. [Class 132 (ii)] A press for a tennis or like racket comprises two rigid unlined plates 10, 12 fitting within the racket head and clamped upon the strings 20 by one or more detachable resilient metal clamps, clips or fasteners 22. The inner ends of the fasteners may enter notches in the clamping plates to prevent the fasteners from slipping. The fasteners may be provided with pivoted handles 34, Fig. 4, which may be turned over to the positions shown in broken lines to facilitate release of the fastener.
