[Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXXI] In a detachable or permanent connection between a tubular member and a rod or another tubular member, a tubular member 1, e.g. of a cycle luggage-carrier, is provided with a slot 3 to receive a rod or tube 4, the npper end 5 of which is formed with a notch 7 and is preferably flattened. When the parts are engaged as shown in Fig. 2, the rounded edge 6 of the end 5 presses against the upper wall 10 of the tube 1 with a clamping action.
