[Class 39 (i)] A starting circuit in parallel with the discharge path and comprising one or more electrode heaters and a thermal switch having a series connected heating element or heated by a glow discharge comprises also a fuse. This fuse may be contained within the lamp base or the thermal switch and. may consist of a wire hermetically sealed in a glass tube and included as an element in one of the lead-in wires of the lamp or switch.
