[Class 38 (ii)] A transformer or choke is regulated by means of a movable leakage member 3 and other leakage members 2, 2<SP>1</SP> which are adjustable in a direction perpendicular to the movement of the member 3. The figure shows a transformer with primary windings 4, 41 and secondary windings 5, 5<SP>1</SP> mounted on cores 1, 1<SP>1</SP> and the member 3 is adjusted by means of a screw and nut device so as to move in the direction of the arrows 15, while the members 2, 21 move in the direction of the arrows 16, 161.
