In the sound damping arrangement for a liquid-immersed electrical device (e.g. a transformer or inductor) described in the parent Specification, wherein the device is enclosed in a tank having thin wall portions 2-5, these thin wall portions are joined to the remainder of the tank by resilient members as 12. The members 12 may also support sound damping plates 7 and a structure 8 for preventing excessive deformation of the thin wall portions during evacuation of the tank.
