[Class 60] [Also in Group XXII] Burr is removed from one or both ends of a bar or tube e as it is fed between the oppositely-moving runs of belts b, the upper belt running somewhat faster than the lower belt so that the element progress from the feed table u to the delivery end. The lower belt projects beyond the upper to facilitate entry of the element which is guided by side guides h. Pairs of cutters or abrasive blocks k are inserted in levers m, at opposite sides, all the levers being linked for actuation by a lever s for operation by hand or power. Means may be provided above the lower run of the upper belt to prevent the element from rising when acted on by the tools. Rotary cutters or grinding wheels may be employed.
