[Class 23] Entrained powdered material delivered from a combined mill and separator a passes to a grading device b which comprises upper and lower cyclones, the upper one receiving the entrained materials and the lower one receiving air from the pipe h. The separated heavy particles are returned to the mill by hopper f and the finer particles, still entrained, are passed to a separator c and collected. The entraining air then passes to a fan d leading to the mill and the closed air cycle is completed. Any excess of air in the cycle escapes through a bag filter e. The grading device b may be as described in Specification 549,199.
