Abstract
1,033,606. Cyclone separators; baffle chamber. WIBAN WESTDEUTSHE INDUSTRIE-UND STRASSENBAU-MASCHINEN GESELLSCHAFT. Nov. 28,1963 [Nov. 28,1962], No. 47119/63. Headings B1T and B2P. Fine particulate material for use as a filler in bituminous mixtures for road construction and contained in a gas stream issuing from a drier, is separated into size fractions by sucking the material-laden gas stream through a separating chamber 1 having one or more baffles 3 which are vertically displaceable and tiltable about a horizontal axis and serve to deflect the gas stream whereby the less fine particles are separated out and fall to the lower part of the chamber, the partially cleaned gas stream being then drawn through one or more cyclone separators 2 in which the finest particles are separated out. The cyclones 2 and the chamber 1 are connected through discharge members 5 to dispersing devices.
