549,369. Removing creases from fabrics. BRITISH CELANESE, Ltd. May 16, 1941, No. 6328. Convention date May 25, 1940. [Class 42 (i)] In the manufacture of fabrics made of or containing yarns of cellulose acetate or other organic derivative of cellulose or of other thermoplastic material, creases are removed by simply subjecting the creased fabric to the action of heat while the fabric is stretched and is free from superficial support. The fabric may be stretched over a frame or on a tentering machine and may be subjected to a heating zone maintained at from 250‹C. to 900‹C. for periods extending from one-tenth to fifteen seconds.
