826,858. Finishing fabrics. ADSHEAD & GEESON Ltd., and GEESON, T. March 25, 1957 [March 24, 1956], No. 9250/56. Addition to 683,075. Class 42 (1). A process for stabilizing and setting tubular knitted fabrics composed wholly or partly of yarns produced from fibres or filaments of manmade materials consists in passing the fabric or yarn over or in contact with a surface heated to a high temperature without previously passing it through steam and hot air, the temperature being sufficiently below the melting-point of the material to avoid any deleterious effects. The surface may be formed by the chamber C described in the parent Specification. Specifications 692,637, [Group IX], 722,461, 750,526, 750,527, 750,528, 750,529 and 752,466, [Group IX], also are referred to.
