Abstract
549,278. Cathode-ray tubes. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken). Nov. 19, 1941, No. 14892. [Class 39 (i)] Post-deflection acceleration is obtained by two wall coatings 3, 4 at 1000 and 4000 volts respectively and in order to reduce wall discharges, one or more narrow insulated strip coatings 9, 10, 11 are placed between them near and parallel to the edge of one coating, preferably the low potential one 3. The spaces 12, 13, 14 between the strips and the nearby coating may be coated with a slightly conductive material such as phosphoric acid. All the coatings are of the same material, such as graphite, silver or platinum. The high potential electrode 4 has a separate contact pin 8. The subject-matter is identical with that of Specification 33019/45, as open to inspection under Sect. 91.
