Abstract
548,321. Forging billets, rods &c. BROSIUS, E. E. April 28, 1941, No. 5493. Convention date, Sept.23, 1940. [Class 83 (iv)] In a work handling device of the type described in Specification 547,921 the work-holder 9 and its support 11 move with a fixed orientation, by mounting the support on the chassis 2 by means of a parallel motion device 13, 16. The arms 13 are fixed to a shaft 12 which has a lever 26 trunnioned to a casing 23 which is moved by a hydraulic cylinder 20, piston-rod 21, spring 30, and rubber block 24. The holder 9 is rotated in the support 11 by known means 31.
