Abstract

903,515. Pneumatic winches. MAIRE, C. A. April 17, 1959 [May 12, 1958], No. 13223/59. Addition to 819,512, as improved upon by 888,412. Class 78 (5). The winch drum 1, as claimed in the parent Specification, has carriage 6 carried by rod 5 and is caused to slide therealong by finger 7 which engages the grooves 9 of the drum. The carriage has arm 10 which slides along rod 11 and, by engaging either stop 13 or stop 14, causes displacement of rod 11 and, through rocker 15, displacement of rod 12. Each rod displaces or allows the displacement of a respective valve 18 so that the pneumatic motor is stopped. Fig. 2 shows the operation of the valves 18 either by the respective rods 11, 12 or by hand pusher 16.
