Abstract
547,507. Urinals; flushing. LEEDS FIRECLAY CO., Ltd., and JOHNSTON, J. G. March 7, 1941, No. 3126. [Class 26] Slabs 1 of fireclay or other ceramic materialareprovided at their upper end with a tubular flushing rim 4, 5 of the same material one of the rims being provided with a boss 6 to receive the lower end of a flushing pipe 7. The rims may be separate from the slabs and are secured to the wall 8 by screws passing through holes 9 in the upper part 10 of the rims. The water may be spread by apertures 11 or by a single outlet which may be provided with a spreader. In a modification, Fig. 3, the upper part of each slab 1 is provided with a water channel 13 integral therewith and provided with apertures 14 or a single outlet which may be provided with a spreader. The channel 13 is closed by a cover 15 provided with a boss 16 to receive the lower end of the flushing pipe 7 and with a depending rib 17 fitting in the top of the channel. The cover 15 is secured to the wall by screws passing through holes 9 therein.
