Abstract

547,335. Pipe joints. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Feb. 21, 1941, No. 2404. Convention date, March 8, 1940. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Groups XXXIV and XXXIII] The connection of a conduit 66 to a cylinder 63 has a valve system for sealing both ends of the conduit when disconnection is being effected by slackening the nut 78 holding together casings 76 and 77. While the valve is in the assembled condition the members 79 are retained by their heads 84 away from the valve seats 82 in the casings 76, 77, on slackening of the nut 76 springs 85 press each of the members 79 on to its seat 82 to seal both ends of the conduit.
