[Class 38 (ii) ][Also in Group XXXVI] A single base plate 1 has applied to it as many rectifying surface contacts 2, 3, 4 as there are phases in the alternating current supply 11, each being connected to one phase. The load 13 is connected between the central point and the base plate. Copper and copper-oxide or sulphide with sprayed metal coated electrode, or a selenium rectifier may be used.
