Abstract

[Class 44] [Also in Group X] Wall boards B rest on the flanges 4 of a T-section rail A and are clamped by a screw 7 which passes into the web 2 and is threaded through a plate 3 extending through a slot in the web. The screw is anchored by a reduced extension 6 which passes through the web and is expanded so as to allow rotation but not withdrawal: Alternatively, the screw may be anchored by providing it with a nut located in a second aperture in the web, Fig. 2 (not shown). In another alternative, Figs. 4-7 (not shown), the walls of the web may be closed together, except where the screw passes between them. In another modification, Figs. 8, 9 (not shown), the screw is not anchored, but the slot is extended at right angles in the web to receive the plate 3 before placing the boards in position. In Fig. 11 the plate 13 is resilient and is provided with a conical nut 15 in a recess.
