Abstract

519,413. Switch cases. BELL, C. F. June 21, 1939, No. 18132. [Class 38 (v)] In order to enable a sunk switch 11 or the like to lie flush on the wall 5 or other support notwithstanding inaccuracy in the mounting of its housing 1, the switch is inserted together with an abutment plate 6 in the housing and loosely fixed by screws 12 passing through apertures 8 into the housing. A jig 9 with lugs 10, Fig. 4, is then placed over the recess, and screws 7 in the plate 6 are adjusted so that the jig bears evenly on the wall, whereupon the screws 12 are rotated until the switch is drawn up to the plate 6. The switch-cover is then clamped in place.
