Abstract

544,591. Holders for coils of steel band &c. PINFOLD. W., and GERRARD INDUSTRIES. Ltd. Oct. 17, 1940, No. 15399. [Class 18] A coil 1 of steel band, &c. is fitted on a centre disc 2 and the inside end 3 of the band engaged with a slot 4, the securing wires of the coil being engaged with nicks 5. The disc is mounted in a holder consisting of two A-shaped frames connected by rivets having distance pieces by means of a detachable securing pin 10 having a pivoted cross key 11. The free end of the steel band passes between rollers 13 and a pivoted bar 14 serves as a brake and may if desired be weighted or spring pressed. A handle 15 is provided.
