[Class 98 (i)] In a folding camera the hinged baseboard is supported by articulated links a independently loaded by springs k and carrying pins h which engage rearwardly-directed locating surfaces g<SP>2</SP> on the lens panel and urge further locating surfaces g<SP>1</SP> on the panel into engagement with locating surfaces j on the baseboard when the camera is open for use. In the construction shown, the lens panel is supported by struts f pivoted to it at f<SP>2</SP> and to the baseboard at f<SP>1</SP>, and provided with slots j through which the locating pins h on the links a pass, whereby the struts f are swung about the pivots f<SP>1</SP> during the opening and closing movements of the camera, the latter being performed by pushing the joints of the links a towards the baseboard hinge.
