543,032. Converting. PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORPORATION. Aug. 5, 1940, No. 12613. Convention date, Sept. 8, 1939. [Class 38 (ii) ] In a D.C. voltage changer of the commutating switch type and comprising a transformer having a centre-tapped primary 1 energized from a low voltage supply A through the contacts 4 of a vibratory switch 3, opposite ends of the secondary 2 are alternately connected to one side of the load 14 through contacts 5 and are also connected to the anodes of a full-wave rectifier VR the cathode of which is connected to the other side of the load. Thus the whole of the secondary winding is utilized during each half cycle of secondary voltage.
