Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the double frequency of the frequency of an input power supply without utilizing the magnetic saturation phenomenon of an iron core by organizationally coupling the secondary side of a Scott-connected transformer to the primary side of an interphase transformer through a rectifier. CONSTITUTION:The secondary winding of a Scott-connected transformer 1 having a T-shaped winding and an M-shaped winding at the primary side has intermediate taps. Diodes D1-D4 of polarity as shown are connected to the terminals of the secondary winding, and the cathode sides of the respective diodes D1-D4 are connected mutually to form a half-wave rectifier circuit 3. Respecitve neutral points of two secondary windings of the transformer 1 are connected to the primary side winding terminals N1, N2 of the interphase transformer 2, wherein the center tap N3 is connected to the bridging terminal N of the circuit 3.
