[Class 38 (ii)] Voltage stresses due to surges penetrating transformer, reactor and like inductance windings connected to a transmission line are reduced by inserting between the winding discs c, d, gapped rings e, a, f, g, h, i of magnetic material. Additionally, a spiral strip of magnet material j may be inserted between the turns of each disc.
