Abstract

542,547. Pens. WALLACE, J. Nov. 19, 1940, No. 16653. Convention date, April 4. [Class 146(iii)] In stylographic reservoir pens with a needle 23 carried by a weighted plunger 16, the plunger has circumferentially-spaced elongated ribs fitting freely within the cylindrical bore of the point section 11. As shown, the plunger is hexagonal and has at its front end a reservoir recess with outlet notches 26a The plunger is formed of metal and may have a jacket of rubber or a plastic. The plunger is provided with a rubber or metal tube 25 carrying the needle. The point section has an inturned end flange 15 acting as a stop to the plunger.
