Abstract

542,159. Regenerators. BRITISH FURNACES, Ltd. (Surface Combustion Corporation). Nov. 29, 1940, No. 17058. [Class 64 (i)] Air is heated in Field tubes 10 depending from a header 12 into a flue 11. The tubes are fully suspended to allow them to be readily removed through the top of the header, and their upper ends are bent over to dip into sealing material. The lower part of the header is protected by heat insulation 37.
