[Class 92 (ii)] Relates to cartridge feed mechanism as described and claimed in the parent Specification in which the cartridges d are supported in pockets in belt portions a, b loosely joined at intervals by stitching c that is torn apart to release the cartridges when the belt portions are tensioned. by hydraulic motors. According to the present invention, the belt portions are drawn forward and torn apart by a hydraulic motor or motors in continuous' operation the motor or motors stalling when cartridges are not being fed to the gun. As shown, the belt portions pass between toothed or spiked rollers, the rollers g, h being driven by hydraulic motors e, f respectively. The pull of the motors is exerted substantially at right angles to the sewn portion c to tear the stitches and free the cartridges. The stitching is preferably inclined to facilitate tearing.
