540,943. Turning. MURAD, W. H. Feb. 21, 1940, No. 3282. [Class 83 (iii)] A lathe has a cross-slide 2 carrying front and rear tool posts 4, 5 the post 4 being adjustable transversely of the slide along a slot 6 and the post 5 being adjustable both longitudinally and transversely of the slide, the latter adjustment being effected by a screw having a micrometer head 13. Alternative slots 15 are provided for the post 5 which preferably carries the parting- tool.
