540,680. Buoyant stuffing materials, floats, rafts, caissons, aircraft, &c. COMPTOIR DES TEXTILES ARTIFICIELS. Feb. 1, 1940, No. 2011. Convention date, Feb. 4, 1939. [Classes 68 (ii) and 77] [Also in Group XXXIII] The interiors of floats, buoys, rafts, life-saving equipment, aircraft equipment, fluid-tight caissons &c. are filled with numerous thin fluidtight envelopes containing artificial filamentary products containing more or.less evenly spaced gas bubbles. The envelopes may be of rubber and consist of two parts having overlapping edges which after the filling operation are hermetically sealed together. A suitable filling material is obtained by injecting air or other gas into a stream of a coagulable liquid such as viscose into a coagulating medium such as an acid bath, as described in French Specification 803,144. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 stated that the envelopes may be filled with kapok or pieces of cork. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
